Abstract
This paper aims to explain the difference perspective atfarmers and agribusiness companies about the contract farming partnership scheme. An illustration of the phenomenon that occurs in the countryside that there are many farmers who do not know about Contract Farming and the benefit. Farmers always have an orientation to obtain certainty from their farming (price, market, profit) so that Contract Farming must be able to answer this problem with facts data that support positive benefits from the existence of Contract Farming. On the other hand that the positive benefits should be enjoyed by the agribusiness company as a business partner so that sustainable partnership can be realized. So it is important to discuss how the perspective of this partnership for farm household and agribusiness companies. A review of literature and scientific articles is presented to discuss case examples in rural areas. The results suggest:1) Farmers consider several things: market certainty, capital, employment, risk management, technology and information, 2) Agribusiness companies consider rights and obligations in partnership with farmers, 3) vertical consolidation is sufficiently ideal for farmers and agribusiness companies.
