Abstract
The literature always reflects society's social and economic structure, making it a perfect medium for conveying social criticism against injustice and inequality in society. In practice, literary works often highlight the conditions of society structurally, providing profound insights into the social classes that are the main actors in the structural changes occurring in society over time. A deep understanding of the relationship between literature and society can provide readers with answers to the social issues currently happening in society. This research aims to dissect the social class conflict in the film Pinocchio by Robert Zemeckis to serve as a reflection on the issues of social class that occur, using a qualitative descriptive research method to dissect the meaning of dialogues and scene descriptions in the film. This study applies Karl Marx's theory of social class conflict to address its problem formulation and the sociological approach of literature in exploring its relevance in society. The research results show 24 identified data depicting the social class conflict in the film Pinocchio by Robert Zemeckis. These data elaborate on the forms of social class conflict and demonstrate the main factors of the structural changes occurring in social structure.
