Abstract

Avocado plants have an unidentified diversity potential in Bangka Island. The protection of the genetic resources of avocado plants is carried out with exploration and identification activities. The research aims to find out the amount of germplasm, relationship, and diversity of avocado phenotypes in Bangka Island. The research was conducted from January to March 2021. Research using exploration methods. Sampling using convenience sampling techniques. Germplasm characterization includes qualitative and quantitative characters. Analysis of relationship using dendograms based on UPGMA method. The results of the study found 26 avocado germplasm in Bangka Island. The germplasm found isMentega 01, Mentega 02, Mentega 03, Mentega 04, Mentega 05, Mentega 06, Kendi, Koba 01, Koba 02, Koba 03, Koba 04, Tuatunu, Pangkalpinang 01, Pangkalpinang 02, Pangkalpinang 03, Selindung, Sungailiat 01, Sungailiat 02, Sungailiat 03, Sungailiat 04, Sungailiat 05, Muntok 01, Muntok 02, Muntok 03, Toboali, and Pagarawan The results of qualitative relationship analysis obtained 4 clusters with a coefficient of 0.51 or 51%, quantitatively obtained 9 clusters with a coefficient of 0.054 or 5.4%, and a combined 6 clusters with a coefficient of 0.382 or 38.2%. All avocado germplasm in Bangka Island has a relatively wide diversity of phenotypes based on quantitative character.
