Abstract

The enactment of Law number 32 of 2004 has an impact on the regions, namely obtaining the right to seek and increase the potential sources of revenue in the region itself, reflected in the financial condition as a benchmark in assessing the independence of an area as measured by the high and low level of Local Government Revenue (PAD). One of the sources of Local Government Revenue (PAD) is tax and retribution revenue related to the mining and tourism sectors. This study aims to examine the comparison of the contribution of the mining sector and the tourism sector in improving the economy in the Province of Bangka Belitung Islands. This research is a quantitative descriptive study, which is sourced from reports of Local Government Revenue (PAD) of 6 Regencies and 1 City and Gross Domestic Regional Product (PDRB) of Bangka Belitung Islands Province for the period 2014-2018. The analytical tool used in this research is the ratio of effectiveness and contribution ratio. The results of this study indicate that the level of effectiveness of the mining sector and the tourism sector has a very effective level of effectiveness. Based on the results of the contribution of the mining sector and the tourism sector to Local Government Revenue (PAD) during the 2014-2018 period, the mining sector contributed IDR 75.6 billion, with an average contribution of 11.03% (less) per year. The tourism sector contributed an amount of IDR 44.5 billion, with an average contribution of 7% (very less) per year.
