Abstract
Various plant species, which is in a life cycle of Javanese in two provinces i.e. Central Java and Yogyakarta, is studied. To collect the flora diversity in the daily life of nearly 35 millions people in those provinces, a literature review was conducted. School curricula for elementary schools, junior high school and senior high school, and Javanese language supplements including song and traditional game books were sampled. At least 90 species of nearly 49 families, all terrestrial species, was recorded. As much as 45 species has local names for their flower, 31 species for leaf, 13 species for young fruits, and 17 species for seed.
